LiveMatrix History

The LiveMatrix team started as an idea from a casual conversation in London 2017, between Francisco, who back then was doing his MRes in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Manchester, Silvana, who was doing an internship at the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) and a course at Imperial College London and Matias, who already was an entrepreneur and was exploring business opportunities in the UK innovation ecosystem. In that period abroad, they identified the need for a Chilean biotech company focusing on regenerative medicine and sustainable health development, which could develop innovative technologies such as tissue-engineered products or complementary medical devices and biomaterials.

Since 2018, LiveMatrix has been involved in project development, supported by academia (Universidad de Concepcion) and some private companies interested in contributing to the development of innovative biotech solutions.
