Carolina Castillo

Biochemist and Doctor (PhD) in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Concepción. She has more than 10 years of experience working in research laboratories and has participated in different R&D projects, for which she has extensive expertise in the topics of cytoprotection, cell cultures, evaluation of biopharmaceuticals, protein purification and analysis and in conducting pre-clinical, in vitro and in vivo studies.

Regarding her international experience, she has taken specialization courses in cytoprotection in neuronal tissue at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. Additionally, she is a professional who is constantly seeking to expand her knowledge, has taken several international courses funded by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) and by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), perfecting her knowledge in cytoprotection and analysis of protective Biopharmaceuticals. .

Also, our scientific has been in a constant academic development, since she is a collaborative lecturer at the Universidad de Concepción and the Universidad San Sebastián.

On the other hand, along with the rest of the members of LiveMatrix, she has been part of the team that is creating the first Research and Development Unit in Tissue Engineering for the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University of Concepción
