Our CEO has developed a career in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship since 2010.

Industrial Engineer from the Universidad del Desarrollo, he founded his first company, called Pixness, when he was in his last year at university, this was a fundamental part of his career as a businessman, and this allowed him to acquire significant know-how and experience in business development and commercial management. In mid-2016, he moved to London looking for new business ideas for his company, which was finally the basis for a radical change in his future career. Upon his return to Chile, he assumed as Head of Business Development of Centro de Biotecnologia y Biomedicina, a Chilean biopharmaceutical company dedicated to human and animal health products development, on the other hand, he Co-Founded LiveMatrix Biotech for later assuming the role of LiveMatrix CEO.

Matías, from 2018 to date has cultivated key international relationships for the acceleration and development of biotechnology businesses with agencies such as the United Kingdom's Department for International Trade (DIT), Berlin Partner, Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI). Also, he has been participating in the most important fairs in the sector such as MEDICA in Düsseldorf, and events such as the Health Innovation Day of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) held at Imperial College London. In addition, he has been in constant professional development, conducting training courses and visits to entities such as the Tissue Banks of the UK NHSBT Tissue and Eye Services, the German Association of Tissue Banks (DGFG), the Biobank of the Charité Hospital in Berlin, and the B Braun medical device factory in Tuttlingen. In 2019 he participated in an International Business Development Programme for Managers organized by the Federal German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, through which he received training at the Business School of the University of Aachen (RWTH). He also holds a diploma in Development of Managerial Skills focused on Innovation, financed by the Regional Government and dictated by the Universidad de Concepción.
