Medical advisor

Our medical advisor has an extensive career in the surgical and bioethical fields, after his graduation as a medical surgeon from the University of Chile in 1980, he continued with training in surgery. His leadership capabilities in this discipline established him as Head of the Surgery Service at Hospital San José de Coronel, Concepción Health Service, for 16 years (2003-2019).

In parallel, he developed biomedical philosophical skills in the field of bioethics and currently serves as President of the Healthcare Ethics Committee of the Hospital San José de Coronel and is a member of the Ethical-Scientific Committee of the same establishment. In addition, together with our scientific director, he is a lecturer in the course of Medical Ethics at the School of Medicine of the Andrés Bello University and he holds a Master in Unesco Bioethics and Law at the University of Barcelona.
